Quick Release Pop Top straps are a simple and affordable quick release strap system designed to cut down the time spent releasing or tying down your pop top so you can spend your holiday time doing the important things… like pumping up an awning or fiddling with a collapsible table.

We use these in our own vans and we fit them in many of the vans we work on at Vanscape – once you’ve tried them you’ll never want standard pop top straps again!

High Quality Parts

Strong 1″ polyester webbed straps with custom designed and manufactured 3mm steel hooks. Made specifically for the job, the hooks have an ‘anti roll’ shape to keep them oriented correctly even when pulled tight & a lump of webbing to prevent the hook from popping off the mount if you happen to leave it loose. With a cast aluminium ‘Pull to tighten – Press to release’ cam fastener all finished in black for a discreet look.

The N52 Neodymium magnet is super strong, designed by the manufacturer with a curved shape to sit flush on the curved surface of the hook. It pulls the end of the strap in with a satisfying click. No chance of it dropping down even on the bumpiest road.

One handed operation

The strap remains fixed in place to the lower roof tie-down bracket so all you need to do is place the hook over the top tie-down bracket on the pop top, then pull the lose end to secure the pop top – easily completed with one hand!

No more wrapping up 6ft of excess strap!

The strap is around 40cm cm long, Once you have fitted and tested out the quick release pop top strap, the last step is to cut the strap down to your preferred length, if you want, or else leave as it is – you can cut it short to keep it tidy or keep some extra length to grip onto!

The magnet and strap end cap hold the excess strap out of your way while you’re driving.

The straps are designed as a direct replacement for your original long tie down straps. But because every van is different it is recommend measuring the span of your mounting brackets. As long as the tie-down brackets on your pop top and the van are 40mm or more apart, the quick release strap should work in your van!

Please note! The quick release strap hooks are designed to work with tie-down brackets 8mm in diameter or less.
