Please read disclaimers carefully before instructing Vanscape Southwest Ltd, trading as Vanscape, to carry out work on your vehicle.
Vanscape works on already converted campervans on a regular basis. These vans have not been converted by Vanscape and Vanscape cannot know where conversion wiring has been routed by whoever did convert the van because that wiring is usually hidden from sight.
Vanscape’s years of experience working with campervans means that it is possible to predict where to expect to find wiring, and so great care is always taken to avoid disturbing any existing wires or loom but, in the event that wiring has been routed in an area where it was not expected to be, and this wiring is disturbed or damaged by Vanscape as a result causing an electrical problem despite great care being taken, Vanscape will not be held responsible.
Note regarding pop top roof canvas replacements:
This work involves removing the pop top roof to fit a new canvas. To remove the pop top roof requires the removal of the canvas to van roof securing screws.
All the screws are carefully removed and replaced into the same holes; no new holes are made.
The van’s wiring loom and the conversion wiring should not be routed anywhere near the area where the canvas is secured to the van roof, and so it should not be possible to disturb or damage any wiring. However, it is not possible to check that the wiring is routed correctly because of the structural reinforcement installed by a converter when they fit a pop top roof.
Vanscape has replaced hundreds of canvases over the years, and it is extremely rare for wiring to have been routed in this area and to get damaged, but if it does, Vanscape will not be held responsible because removing the canvas securing screws is unavoidable when removing a pop top roof canvas and it would not have been possible for Vanscape to check for badly routed wiring beforehand.
